Perry Street Loft
Located in one of Richard Meier's New York residential towers, this 3,500 SF loft was completed in the spring of 2009.
The design was conceived to allow the raw concrete floors and ceilings to be revealed around the perimeter, while a crisp new box of private rooms was introduced at the core. Sliding doors and extended gypsum plenums allow for multiple uses and readings of the space.
Design features include a forced-perspective hallway to frame a view of the Hudson River immediately upon entering, a continuously traversable perimeter which can be subdivided with sliding walnut doors, switchable glass walls at the master bathroom to allow for privacy or a view of the Hudson while soaking, radiant floor heating, and custom furniture.
